On 30 May 2025, the EARTHONE project will hold its first co-creation workshop at the Corte Benedettina of the University of Padua in Legnaro (PD), Italy. The event will bring together stakeholders from across the land-use and agri-food sectors to collaboratively explore tools and approaches for addressing climate adaptation and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction.
Participatory development for practical tools
As part of its core methodology, EARTHONE is organising regional co-creation workshops to ensure its tools are developed in line with the real-world needs of end users. These sessions are designed to engage a wide range of actors — including farmers, landowners, policymakers, and environmental organisations — in an interactive, structured format.
By integrating local feedback from the earliest phases, the project aims to create practical and efficient tools that directly support land-use management and climate resilience efforts across Europe.
Why attend
This workshop offers a space for knowledge exchange, applied discussion, and future-oriented collaboration. Participants will:
- connect with key actors from agriculture, research, and policy fields.
- contribute to the co-design of tools for effective land-use strategies and GHG mitigation.
- access insights into digital solutions, including multi-sensor data platforms and decision-support tools.
- inform future policy guidance by helping shape methodologies and recommendations relevant to national and EU-level climate goals.
Workshop agenda
The workshop will begin with a welcome session and an overview of climate and GHG-related challenges. Following an introduction to the EARTHONE project, participants will divide into working groups for hands-on sessions focused on three main tools under development:
- AI-based scenario builder and decision-support tool
- Multi-sensing ecosystem for land-use monitoring
- Information factory for data integration and analysis
Each session will include short presentations, exercises, SWOT analysis, and structured feedback collection via questionnaires. The workshop will conclude with a feedback roundup and an informal networking lunch.
